1. Use of this Site constitutes agreement with the following terms and conditions.

This website - Principal Global Indicators - is jointly established by seven international agencies (hereinafter referred as the “agencies”): the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), the European Central Bank (ECB), Eurostat, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the United Nations (UN), and the World Bank. The website is hosted by the IMF on behalf of the agencies. The information presented herein is to promote visibility of existing economic and financial statistics to facilitate the monitoring of key economic and financial indicators by the general public through a joint website. These terms and conditions shall be without prejudice to other activities of the participating organisations and to their specific terms and conditions, in particular as regards the use of the data disseminated as a part of those activities.

Materials provided on this site are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including without limitation warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The agencies specifically do not make any warranties or representations as to the accuracy or completeness of any such Materials. The participating agencies periodically add, change, improve, or update the Materials on this Site without notice. Under no circumstances shall the agencies be liable for any loss, damage, liability or expense incurred or suffered which is claimed to result from use of this Site, including without limitation, any fault, error, omission, interruption or delay with respect thereto. Use of this Site is at User's sole risk. Under no circumstances, including, but not limited to, negligence, shall the agencies or their affiliates be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, even if these agencies have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

The User of this site agrees to indemnify the agencies and their affiliates from and against any and all actions, claims, losses, damages, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) that may be incurred by the User, including without limitation any claims alleging facts that if true would constitute a breach by User of these terms and conditions.
II. Use of the Materials

The agencies are pleased to allow Users to visit the Site and download and copy the information, documents and materials (collectively, "Materials") from the website for User's non-commercial use, provided that the responsible agency is named as the originator of the Materials. Any form of commercial use, including, but not limited to, selling, renting or making the Materials or parts thereof publicly available against remuneration depends on the prior written consent of the responsible agency.
III. LINKING FROM WEBSITES
7. Users who maintain an external website may include electronic links to the homepage or any html page of this website, provided that doing so:
· does not infringe the intellectual property rights of the agencies, in particular with respect to their names, acronyms and logos; and is not misleading, for instance by implying endorsement by or affiliation with the agencies.

8. This Site, in addition to links to the agencies’ websites, may contain links to third-party web sites. The linked sites are not under the control of the agencies and the participating agencies are not responsible for the contents of any linked site or any link contained in a linked site. Any linked site does not imply endorsement by the agencies.
V. Applicable Law
9. This Agreement will be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the District of Columbia, United States of America.
VI. Preservation of Immunities
10. Nothing in this website usage agreement shall be deemed to constitute a waiver of the immunities of the agencies.
VII. General
11. The agencies reserve the right in their collective discretion, without notice or obligation to take the needs of any user into consideration, to modify or terminate its Site and to deny any user access to its Site or any portion thereof. |
